to use the man as a guinea pig. It is with reason that we
can tremble, if we refer to a past that is not so far.
Have I reason to employ a term so feared ? I don't no ;
but I do not see what other word I can to use. At least,
the purpose is clear, and null will be able to claim

That the problem of
the hunger in the third - world is painful, null can not
contest it ; and that it is in pass to become a
challenge‚ first for concerned State leaders, then
to all us, is a reality whose we take little by little
conscience. To find causes does not to be very difficult
; but to process them, can not be simple ; this aspect is
not the object of my purpose. Has one research
responsibilities? One could have it without doubt ; this
point is not non more what I want to process in this
alert. The solution that comes to be envisaged to solve
this dramatic situation appears me open criticism on
several points.
The first observation
is that the current agricultural production in a lot
country allows to bring a debut of reply from surplus,
for which one seeks means to limit. them ; Why not to
envisage this way, if
the real preoccupation
is to solve the nutritional insufficiency children of the
Third - World ?
The trans - genic
products - whose utilisation is envisaged - does not meet
a unanimous adherence in many countries ; the main reason
of this distrust is that we are too close for to measure
the effects on our health ; opponents ask that is to
respect the principle of precaution ; can we accept in
these conditions that such substances are used on persons
who have already deficiencies? My reply is no.
Here
is what, I wonder if the real objective is not to
use
this
large population, fragile and without
defence,
to
drive a very large scale experiences that will allow to
measure the effects of an intensive consumption of trans
- genic products. In clear, I ask : does it not concern
to EXPERIMENT ON HUMAN BEING ?
Because for
me, they are the human being ; their miseries and their
sufferings cannot , in any case, to exclude them from the
human community.
The assistance to badly feed children of the Third -
World with these products seems me an alibi to justify
the unspeakable.
Can we accept it ? Can we remain indifferent ? Can we
remain silent ? To all these questions I reply no ;

The trans - genic
products arouse the distrust, in Europe notably, to a
second reason : their culture. Indeed, we ignore, there -
also, the influence that will have on the flora and the
fauna on environment, with the time, the genetic
modifications that are brought to these seeds

this reason explains that these cultures are driven
currently with infinite precautions, sometimes even with
discretion. I
fear that, under the pretext to help to solve problems of
nutrition pain in countries of the Third - World,
pressures do exert, to various levels,
to
experiment, there - also, its large scale culture,
without fearing the reprobation of local public opinions
that are uninformed, and whose immediate concerns are an
other order. I
wonder then who are the real beneficiaries? I know
although there are no anything such that poor people to
enrich us.
Here is my reflection
; here is my shout. If the reasons that I come to evoke

of
a disguised attempt to experiment on the human
being, why not
