The first
Notebook follows gods Ifa and Eshu since Cotonou, that is the
starting point of the trip, until Dakar; we will abandon from
there, the road of men that, despite them, will be vectors of the
yoruba mythology to the new world; these of the black Diaspora;
the silent men and the misery men.
In this first
notebook, as in the second, I propose you a reviews of all points
that will be developed in the project. This will be a sort of
summary that is in under a burst form; it will belong to each
person to find the elements.
Cotonou and Dakar,
because the first of the two cities is effectively that that the
history has retained for one of most active points of this slave
trade. It is unjust for others localities as Ouidah for example.
Ouidah is more ancient as market of the slavery ; The city was
equally that where peoples roots were effectively pulled ; Ouidah
was the city where the suffering caught a name, because at Ouidah
the wrench was made ahead witnesses. Ouidah was habited. Cotonou
on the other hand was rather a " technical center " the little
fisherman village was too distanced, and the discretion, tell the
fear, that feel the rare nobodies that occupy it could not confer
an intense emotion to the event as to Ouidah.
Remain at Cotonou
; thus has decided the history ; and it has entered in the name of
the city. It is what our two visitors remind.
